Rare two-seater model BO 583 by Preben Fabricius & Jørgen Kastholm for Bo-Ex, Denmark 1963. In the 1950s, Jørgen Kastholm and Preben Fabricius, who had studied together at the School of Interior Design, formed a partnership in 1960 based on the values of perfection, aesthetics, and minimization. The following year, they opened an architecture office, where they spent the next eight years creating designs that would ultimately define their legacy. This sofa is designed in 1963 and is one of the few designs that were produced in their home country. It features a matt chrome-plated steel frame that contrasts handsomely with the down-filled black leather cushions. Presented in its original and very well condition with a beautiful soft overall patina.
