Designed in 1952 by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen, the Ant chair was originally created for the canteen of Novo Nordisk and went on to become one of the most celebrated and recognizable chair designs of the 20th century. These early edition examples beautifully showcase Jacobsen’s pioneering molded plywood technique. The organically shaped, single-piece veneer shell forms both seat and back in one continuous, sculptural gesture — light, elegant, and remarkably ergonomic. The refined silhouette is complemented by slender brushed steel legs, emphasizing the chair’s minimalist and architectural expression. The underside bears the early Fritz Hansen / Denmark mark, confirming authenticity and production period. Presented in its original condition with solid back supports. The listed price is for the set of 4 pieces.
